Karen Cooprider, Director of Student Ministry

As Director of Student Ministry, I oversee ministry activities with students in grades 7-12. I love teens and have a passion to see them relate personally with Jesus Christ and with each other. I have a terrific team of ministry partners who share my passion for building relationships with students and bringing them closer to Christ.

Interesting facts about my family or me:
I've been married to Curt for 22 years. We have four daughters and love sports and vacationing together. We moved to Hopkinton more than 14 years ago from the Seattle area.

What’s on my IPod:

Mostly Christian music (Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, Third Day …), also a little classical, jazz, new age, pop, country and musical soundtracks.

Some of my favorite books and TV shows:

Books: Christian fiction by Francine Rivers, Bodie Thoene, and Safely Home by Randy Alcorn
TV Shows: Boston sports and college softball, Amazing Race, Survivor

How I like to spend my free time:
Visiting with friends, reading, watching/playing sports (softball, soccer, basketball), listening to music, walking, canoeing, traveling, and laughing with my husband and daughters.

Favorite vacation spot:
I like variety, not just one spot: mountains/lakes, the ocean, different countries/cultures.

Something I’d love to do again:
Visit Japan and Africa.

What I enjoy about Faith Community Church:
It’s family.

Philippians 4:6-8

Praying with my youngest daughter when she accepted Jesus.
