Ministering to children ages from newborns to sixth grade

Thank you for your interest in the Children’s Ministries of the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton. We believe that children are precious to God and an important part of our church family. This church has a deep commitment to children, per-teens and their families and you will see that reflected in the number and diversity of opportunities available. With the help of committed and carefully screened volunteers, we provide a safe environment where children can enjoy learning and growing in faith.

We know that bringing your family to a church our size can be a little daunting and logistically complicated. To ease the stress of this new experience, we've compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Our greatest joy is to watch children learn to love Jesus and begin to trust him as their best friend. Research has shown that the window of opportunity for a person to begin a strong relationship with Jesus is open widest between the ages of 4 to 14 years. So let's work together during this important time. The FCCH Children's ministries promise to comunicate the truth of God' love in an engaging and age-appropriate way and to encourage children to take steps toward becoming followers of Jesus. As parents, your part of the partnership is to talk often about Jesus and God with your child and to make Sunday morning church attendance a priority. Working as a team, we'll build a solid foundation for a lifetime of faith.

For His Kids,

Vickie Hampton

Director of Children's Ministries
