Join us for a dynamic journey of becoming a disciple (an intentional follower) of Jesus Christ at Faith Community Church of Hopkinton, marked by a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater love for others.

We are committed to this journey because it honors God and it’s best for each one of us!

In light of all that God has done for us, we honor him by our obedience to the Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandments to love God and others with our whole beings (Mark 12:28-31), as found in the Bible.

In so doing, we experience the abundant life that Jesus came to offer us AND God molds us into the image of his son by the Holy Spirit. We are partners, but he always does more for us than we do for him.

We have developed a process for this journey at Faith Community Church and are encouraging all of our people to participate in this process.

Every journey has ESSENTIALS.  For this journey of discipleship, the ESSENTIALS are spiritual beliefs and practices that give us momentum to grow, and help us become well-rounded disciples.  We'll teach you these beliefs and practices and help you live them out.

Jesus Christ blazed the trail of discipleship for us as he walked in obedience to his Father while here on earth. He wants us to know:

• We should never journey alone! Spiritual growth happens in deep relationships. That’s how Jesus made disciples.
• We should be intentional about next steps. Jesus faced opposition, and we will, too.  If we don't make a concerted effort, we can lose ground in our Christian growth.

Our process begins with a single-session orientation class called “Grow 1: Meeting Christ”. This class will teach you some catalytic beliefs and practices, and connect you to companions to help you take next steps.

• If you’re new to Faith Community Church and would like an introduction to the church and staff, and learn a little more about this journey before you jump on board with us, register for the “Intro to Faith Community Church” session, under Course Registration.
• If you’re intrigued by this journey and would like to get a rough snap-shot of where you might be, use the Spiritual Assessment Tool for a 10-minute experience (found to the right, under "Where Are You?"). Note: It’s best to debrief this assessment with a companion for perspective and encouragement.
