As Director of Equipping Ministry, my primary responsibility is to help create systems and processes that assist in preparing, connecting and equipping individuals to serve in ministries at Faith Community Church. Meeting people and helping them connect to a ministry opportunity where they will experience great joy and effectiveness is the most exciting part of my job.
Interesting facts about my family or me
I’m married to my best friend. We have three great kids. Next year we’ll be empty nesters, except for our two dogs. We moved to Franklin fifteen years ago from Jacksonville, Florida, and actually love snow…except when we have three feet of the white stuff covering our driveway!

Music: Anything by Jars of Clay, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, or Baird Lashley and others on our Faith Community worship team. My southern roots love good old country songs and southern gospel from time to time also.
How I like to spend my free time
There are two things that I really love doing--reading and gardening. I love to get up early in the morning and sit in my gazebo with God’s word, a great devotional or a new book by Andy Stanley or Bill Hybels. Gardening allows me to be creative and experiment with the newest hybrid plants. I love watching my yard come alive with color and foliage each spring.
Favorite vacation spot
Maine is my number one choice. I love the secluded beaches, digging for clams and lazy summer afternoons strolling along the rocky shoreline. Our dogs, Rusty and Gizmo, love to run along the beach and bark at the seaweed floating in the surf. They’re a bit strange, but we love them!
Something I’d love to do again
Marry my best friend, Bruce, again . . . but this time on a really sunny day and have time to take a real honeymoon.
What I enjoy about Faith Community Church
It has to be the wonderful people who make up the body of Christ at Faith Community Church. I also feel so privileged to serve God in a place where His word is taught and where Christ is honored and loved.
Favorite scripture
My favorite is one where God makes a statement about Himself in Jeremiah 32:27- “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind; is there anything too hard for me?” (TLB)
One of my favorite God moments
Having a woman who had participated in the SHAPE workshop come up to me to shake my hand and give me a hug all because she had finally discovered what she was born to do. She and her husband had just started serving in the Agape Ministry.
