Small Groups

Small Groups are part of our Spiritual Growth Ministry, which help adults move toward a Christ-Centered life, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, so they may gain the full life that Christ has for them. We encourage every adult to pursue a path of spiritual growth (for more information check out our Grow in Christ page). Since Jesus Christ demonstrated that supportive relationships and intentional growth are critical for spiritual development, the Spiritual Growth Ministry provides Community Groups and Growth Opportunities in each area of the ministry.

Small Groups are groups where we build friendships as we share, study the Bible, pray, and serve together for several months or more. Most groups are ongoing and meet weekly at homes throughout the area or at the church, although we have groups that meet bi-weekly or for a set time to offer options to meet different needs. All small groups meet the purpose of connecting each adult into intentional relationships for Biblical encouragement, belonging, support and spiritual development.

Community Groups

Our groups within Spiritual Growth Ministry are called Community Groups because authentic community is a high value at Faith Community Church. A Community Group is a group of people from Faith Community Church that connects relationally to grow spiritually. Groups vary in length (6 weeks to ongoing), curriculum, composition (young adult, men, women, couples, mixed: singles, couples, and different ages), and progressive accountability (from casual involvement to an ongoing commitment to grow spiritually).
Small groups are tailored to meet your needs either by geographic location, topic, or stage of life. Click the section that you’re interested in to fill out an interest form or visit the Grow & Serve Center on Sunday mornings.

Starting Point:
If you are currently exploring the whole “God thing”, or are new to the Christian faith, or simply giving church another shot after being away for a while, then Starting Point may be for you.

Geographical Groups:
We have many groups that meet in the Metrowest and Blackstone Valley areas, or at Faith Community Church.

Topical Groups:
Marriage, Online Group, Deeper Accountability Group

Stage of Life Groups:
Parents of Young Children, Families of children in elementary school, Working couples with children, Couples with School Age Children, Ages 18-28, Ages 22-35, Ages 26-late 30’s, Men, Women, Mixed (with singles and Couples), Couples

Since every person has a unique relationship with Jesus Christ and may be at a different stage of the discipleship journey, the Spiritual Growth Ministry provides a menu of growth opportunities to help each adult identify and take their next step of spiritual development. These opportunities are single-session seminars, events, or accountability partners. We encourage everyone to choose a next step and report their progress to their Community Group for encouragement.

Our book club meets on the first Tuesday of every month, December through June, at 7 pm at the church in room 237. You can join for one month or several months. Please register online or stop by the Grow & Serve Center on Sunday Mornings.

In The Power of a Whisper, vision is cast for what life can look like when God's followers choose to hear from heaven as they navigate life on earth. Whispers that arbitrate key decisions, nudges that rescue from dark nights of the soul, promptings that spur on growth, urgings that come by way of another person, inspiration that opens once-glazed-over eyes to the terrible plight people face in this world--- Hybels promotes passion in Christ-followers' hearts for being wide open to hearing from God, and for getting gutsier about doing exactly what he says to do.
