Cash Gifts

Sunday: Note your donation in the memo line of your check or pick up a box of envelopes from the table in the lobby. You may designate how you want your funds to be distributed between Home Ministry, Outreach, and Building Fund.

During the week: Mail to: Faith Community Church of Hopkinton, 146 E. Main Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748

Utilize bill payer services: Send checks automatically to the church using your bank or other electronic bill payer services. Review the Electronic Giving Instructions for further information or contact the church office.

Donate online using Paypal: You can use your credit card through Paypal using the "Give Online Now" button on the Online Giving page.

Matching Gifts:  We are qualified to receive matching donations from your company.

Gifts of Other Property (Non-Cash Gifts):

Appreciated Securities: Gifts of appreciated stocks and mutual funds will allow the church to benefit from the full market value while enabling you to save on capital gains tax.

Bequests

Planned Giving: Remember the church in your estate plan. Outright bequests are exempt from federal and state estate taxes.

Types of Bequests:

Cash Bequest: Give a specific dollar amount from your estate. Sample language to include in your will or trust: “I give and bequeath the sum of ___dollars ($____) to the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, of Hopkinton Massachusetts (or its successor organization, if any), to be used for its general purposes.”

Residuary Bequest: Give all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after the payment of any specific bequests and expenses. Sample language to include in your will or trust: “I give and bequeath ___percent of the residue of my estate to the First Congregational Church of Hopkinton, of Hopkinton Massachusetts (or its successor organization, if any), to be used for its general purposes.”

Bequest of Property: Give specific assets, such as securities, real estate, or tangible personal property (for example, works of art or antiques) in your will or trust.

Retirement Plan/Life Insurance: Designate the church as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), qualified pension, profit-sharing plan, or life insurance policy.
