As Director of the Worship Ministry at Faith Community, I am excited to invite you to join the Worship Ministry. We are hosting a day of auditions and on Sunday, February 26, from 1-6 PM. If you have ever wondered what opportunities for serving are available or how to get involved in Worship Ministry, this will be the opportunity you have been looking for.
There are over 100 ministry partners who serve throughout the year in Worship Ministry, but there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved. And the ministry partners and leaders are excited about welcoming you onto their teams.
You probably know that Worship Ministry has teams of singers, musicians and actors. But did you know that there are also writers, painters, graphic artists, costume designers…as well as, people who run video cameras, sound systems, projection software. We even have people who edit video for the web, baptism videos and other special projects.
Some of our ministry partners have professional experience, but many of them got involved and were trained in-house by each other. For example…
- musicians who are talented, but never played in a band before
- singers who never took a voice lesson
- actors who never got on a stage before
- sound, video, and media techs who joined us with no experience
- writers who never wrote anything but a school essay
So whether you have experience and are just wondering how to get involved or if you have no experience but are willing to learn, stop by the Auditon Reception Table any Sunday in January or February or send an email to Baird Lashley and plan to join us on February 26.
